What is a Language-Learning Mediator?

A Language-Learning Mediator is a professional teacher who activates the learner’s potential of learning, communicative skills, self-esteem, and independence, providing a safe environment to practice language with meaningful material that triggers reflection and creativity, while awakening sensibility and wisdom.

Objective

By the end of the program, the Language Learning Mediator will be able to incorporate the knowledge, tools and techniques presented to develop a brain-friendly and more efficient way to approach learning to his/her learners.

Learning Outcomes

During this program you will:

Discover ways to help calm the brain with some neuroscience applied to pedagogy.
Determine the best ways to approach learning in specific situations.
Compare different ways of teaching and apply them according to the learners’ skills, motivation, and knowledge of the language.
Support learners in their journey to overcome their fears towards a foreign language and learn more efficiently.
Develop well-balanced, meaningful contents for your learning sessions to trigger the learners’ interest towards learning.
Plan, develop and execute a Commun-Art Session.

Aimed At

Second Language Teachers with at least one 180-hour training program and no less than 3 years of teaching experience with adults. A C1-level of English or higher is a must; sessions will be delivered in English.

A training manual with the theory and practical exercises of the sessions
A document with brain-friendly chunked-down grammar flow charts and mind maps
A recording of each session in case you want to review it (provided all participants agree to being recorded.)
A pdf document with the Power Point Presentation for each session, including the “rescue” of the session (the most important comments from Participants.)
